Vehbi Koç

He was born in Ankara in the year 1901. He was educated in Ankara İdadi (Secondary) School. He started to deal with businesses in the year 1917. He handed his father's firm over and registered to Ankara Chamber of Trade in the year 1926. He established Türk DemirDöküm Factories Inc., Co., which is the biggest private company of our country at this moment, in the year 1954. Many industrial establishments follow this company. The first holding of Turkey, Koç Holding (Koç Group) was founded in the year 1963.
