A PRODUCTION FACILITY ESTABLISHED IN ALGERIA TO MANUFACTURE DEMİRDÖKÜM PRODUCTS

DemirDöküm, the leader of Turkish Heating and Cooling Sector, has opened "Demrad Algerie Water Heater and Gas Heater Plant,” with a ceremony, held in the capital city of Algeria.

At the opening ceremony, attended by Bülent Lütfü Kızıltan, the General Manager of DemirDöküm, it is stated that Demrad Algerie plant, established with the technical support provided by DemirDöküm would achieve an annual production of 200,000 items, including 50,000 water heaters and 150,000 gas heaters, under the trademark Demrad, which is the export trademark of DemirDöküm.

In near future, products manufactured in Demrad Algeria Production facility will be exported to Tunisia and Morocco.

At the opening, to which the National Press of Algeria showed great interest, DemirDöküm, who aims to be among the three largest brands of its sector in Europe in 2010, aims a market share of 30 % in water heater products and a share of 50 % in gas heater products in the Algerian market, which has considerable strategic importance, in accordance with this goal.

Expressing the reliability of DemirDöküm trademark in the opening speech, Slimani Abdelghani, the General Manager and owner of Demrad Algeria Plant, stated that Algerian staff would realise production operations under the supervision of the engineers of DemirDöküm and he was proud to introduce DemirDöküm trademark to Northern Africa and they would be a leader in the market with the products to be manufactured.

Therefore DemirDöküm aims to increase its exports to Algeria, which amounts to EUR 2 million annually, to EUR 4 million initially and then gradually to EUR 10 million.

DemirDöküm, which realized an export figure of EUR 128 million in 2006 and which offers its panel radiators, cast radiators, tower rails and water heater products in 52 countries, ranging from Chile to China, realises more than 65 % of its exports to the European countries.
