DEMİRDÖKÜM'S GROWTH GETTING BEYOND IT'S TARGETS...

NET PROFIT HAS INCREASED BY 45%.

Demirdöküm who closed the accounts of the year 2006 by achieving a successful performance increased its consolidated turnovers to YTL 776 million at a rate of 36% and increased its net profit to YTL 41 million at a rate of 45% when compared to those of the year 2005.

Demirdöküm, which is taking secure steps towards the target of ''being one of the first three companies of the heating sector throughout the world until 2010'' which it set as a main target, maintained its position as an ''industry leader'' with the size it attained in 2006, and on the other hand, it also carried on its growth in the global markets owing to its exports of 128 Million EURO.

DemirDöküm, aims to become the world leader in panel radiators and water heaters and to take part among the first three companies in combi boilers in the world, continued its investments and international collaborations to this end.
DemirDöküm gradually carried on its investments which it initiated during 2005 also in 2006 in accordance with its target ''to make Panel Radiator Plants the largest panel radiator production facilities in the world'' which is among its strategies and it increased its annual capacity up to 4.1 million meters as of the year-end. DemirDöküm will keep up its gradual capacity growth this year as well.

DemirDöküm, offering a wide range of products which are Combi Boilers, Panel Radiators, Water Heaters, Natural Gas Stoves, Cast İron Boilers, Floor Standing Boilers, Cast İron Radiators in markets of 52 countries ranging from Chili to China performed two thirds of its total exports to European countries.

The General Manager of DemirDöküm, Bülent Lütfü Kızıltan, stated that the construction sector maintained its position as leading sector with a growth rate of 21% it obtained in 2006 and drew attention to the fact that the revival in the heating-cooling market increasingly continued in 2006 too. Mr. KIZILTAN said ''Increase of the utilization of natural gas is one of the most significant factors of the growth of the sector. Natural gas utilization which was 5.8 Billion cubic meters at residences in 2005 became 7.5 Billion cubic meters in 2006. The number of centers utilizing natural gas has increased to 47 as of the end of 2006. The world's heating and cooling sector in which DemirDöküm also takes part is Euro 20 Billion and the sector size of the European heating market is Euro 13 Billion. And the total heating and cooling market of Turkey in 2006 is calculated as Euro 1 Billion''.


600 THOUSAND COMBIS TARGETED FOR 2007

Mr. KIZILTAN who stated that, depending on significant developments in the natural gas sector, the production capacity of combi boilers which was 240 thousand at the beginning of 2006, increased to 400 thousand at the first stage, and he added that their targeted capacities will be 600 thousand this year due to gradually sustained investments. Mr. KIZILTAN added that ''In addition to European and CIS markets with regards to water heaters, we have carried on our works for the establishment of a SKD-based plant in Algeria where the construction sector grows very rapidly in 2006 too. Our casting plants - Demrad A.S. - located in Inegöl are the largest production plants of cast radiators in Europe. And we market 85% of our production to foreign countries abroad.''.

Mr. KIZILTAN who pointed out to the fact that their facilities in the market of air conditioners which also take part within the strategic product range increasingly continue and he further attracted attention that a growth of 61% was obtained in this product in 2006 when compared to that of the previous year. 

Mr.KIZILTAN also made the following statements about DemirDöküm's R&D: ''Our Company carries on its R&D activities on energy resources and products of the future in addition to the technological renewal and modernization of our company's existing products. We have been maintaining R&D activities on systems converting chemical energy into electrical and thermal energy, home-type co-generation units, advanced heating systems fed through renewable energy resources. We have been working on projects for heating and cooling houses and provision of hot water on a single system, and production of needed electrical energy within the system in the future. Works which are made in a collaboration with our universities and TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) are jointly conducted based on incentive systems.''

WE WILL CONTINUE OUR EXPANSION ABROAD

DemirDöküm which is the first Turkish Company which made investments in China continued and developed its activities at Dongguan Dei Chung Metal Appliances Limited in 2006 and produced a turnover of USD 14 Million.

DemirDöküm which enabled expansion of the brand marks - Heatline, Demrad and Fix, in the global markets through Demiladi International Trading companies in the Free Zone of Tianjin in China and DD Heating Ltd. in England and also representations it established in Germany, France and Russia gained significant increases in the consolidated domestic  sales revenues thanks to the competitive advantage it caught. DemirDöküm will continue overseas expansion in 2007 as well so as to keep such a growth steady.


DEMİRDÖKÜM BY FIGURES

? The paid-up capital of DemirDöküm whose registered capital is YTL 100 Million is YTL 45 Million.
DemirDöküm's IFRS-based consolidated net turnover increased to YTL 776 Million by 36% in 2006 when compared to that of 2005. The portions of the turnover totaling to YTL 545 Million and YTL 231 Million were realized out of domestic and external sales respectively. 
? Domestic sales demonstrated a growth in combis, panel radiators and air conditioners by 55%, 25% and 61% respectively when compared to those of the previous year.
DemirDöküm increased its exports to Euro 128 Million by 13% in 2006 while it was Euro 114 Million on a consolidated base in 2005 and made 70% of its exports to EU states.
? Following the physical growth for 31% in 2005, it grew up at a rate of 32% in 2006.

DemirDöküm performs its sales through 252 authorized dealers and 1,900 sales points, provides after-sales services by 347 authorized services and 1,690 service personnel expanded all around Turkey.
